Air travel from Delhi gets dearer from today

Get ready to cough up extra money for travelling through Delhi airport as domestic and foreign air travellers will have to pay higher User Development Fee (UDF) of upto over Rs 1,000, an increase of more than Rs 200 from Tuesday onwards. The new UDF, which comes into effect from Tuesday, varies on the distance to be travelled.

DTC Bill to be introduced in Monsoon Session: Pranab Mukherjee

The Direct Taxes Code (DTC) Bill, which seeks to overhaul the 50 year-old Income-tax laws, will be brought in Parliament in the monsoon session and most of the recommendations of the Standing Committee will be accepted.

New ATC system at Nagpur can save 1.28 cr litres aviation fuel

About 600 nautical miles around Nagpur is now safe from mid-air mishaps, thanks to the new Air Traffic Control (ATC) automation system 'Indra' at the international airport here, which will also help saving up to 1.28 crore litres of aviation fuel every year, top airport officials said.
