The war of high-end smartphones has given options before the buyers to choose the best one.

The Nexus 5 sports a matt plastic rear compared to Samsung’s glossy plastic which makes it look classier than S4. Though, Nexus 5 does not allow access to the battery as the rear is non-removable.

Both the smartphones feature a 5 inch display screen with the same high-end 1080 pixel resolution. However, Nexus 5 sports a slightly sharper display when put alongside Galaxy S4.

Nexus 5 is powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 Quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. On the other hand, Galaxy S4 is powered by a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 Quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. In other words, Nexus 5 is a faster and more advance phone than S4.

In terms of software, Nexus 5 runs on the latest Android operating system to be provided by Google, Android 4.4 KitKat, whereas S4 runs on an outdated version of Android, Android 4.2. It will take less time for future software updates as Nexus 5 users require no carrier testing.

The camera of Galaxy S4 is better than that of Nexus 5. The former packs in an 8 mega-pixel rear camera and a 1.3 mega-pixel front camera, whereas the later features a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with a 2 mega-pixel front camera.
