New Delhi: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Monday sought a detailed report from the Delhi government on the clinics being run by the quacks in the national capital and pitched for stern actions against them.

The order came after the Delhi Medical Council submitted its report in which 28 such clinics in Burari area of Delhi were unearthed.

Sources said, “The NHRC has asked the Chief Secretary of Delhi Government to submit report on the clinics that are being run by unqualified doctors in the capital region following the medical council’s claim of taking stringent actions against the quacks in Burari.”

The Chief District Medical Officer, Delhi also referred another six suspected cases including Bharatiya Chikitsa Parishad and Board of Homeopathy System of Medicines to the NHRC and demanded necessary actions.

Taking serious note of the issue, the NHRC has issued notices and expressed the need of effective and immediate actions in this regard.
