"The estimated per km cost of this project would be Rs 50 crore as compared to Rs 350 crore per km of the Metro. Based on new technology, it would help in decongestion of traffic and provide facility to the people of Haryana and Delhi," Gadkari told a gathering after laying foundation  stone of highway projects in Haryana's Sirsa town, 275 km from  here.

Parts of Gurgaon are linked to Delhi through Delhi Metro.

The express way between Delhi and Gurgaon and further to Manesar on National Highway No 8 (NH-8) sees huge traffic daily, especially in the morning and evening hours.
