New Delhi: By calling Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as better PM material than Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has once again intensified debate on NDA’s Prime Ministerial candidate for 2014 general elections. Sushil Modi’s fresh statement is bound to deepen internal bickering within NDA over PM candidate.

Bihar Deputy CM Modi has further said that Nitish is sure to play a vital role in 2014 general elections. During an interview to a daily, Modi said that Nitish bears all qualities required to become an able Prime Minister.

However, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had also stressed earlier that NDA will agree to a leader with secular image as Prime Ministerial candidate. Since then, political pundits have been predicting that Nitish is also going to join the race for NDA’s PM candidature.

Given this, the fresh views of Bihar’s Deputy CM is being viewed as very crucial at this moment and it is believed that it could dampen Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s prospects for the post of Prime Minister.
