Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday made an aerial survey of the river Ganges with Union Water Resource Minister Pawan Bansal and demanded that 28 districts in the state be declared flood-hit.

The Chief Minister gave a powerpoint presentation on the problems of siltation and irrigation and demanded that 28 of the 38 districts be recognised as flood-hit instead of 15 districts.

He also demanded constitution of a separate authority for distribution of the waters of the river Sone.
