Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday embarked on another round of Seva Yatra from Gopalganj with an aim to assess the development that has taken place in the state.

Kumar is scheduled to tour eight districts in May as part of the yatra. He will be holding parleys with districts officials to discuss the implementation of government schemes, the Chief Minister Office said.

Asked if the yatra had political purpose, the Chief Minister said it was concerned with governance and there was no political purpose behind it.

It is expected that Kumar will spend two days in each district during his yatra.
