Kumar arrived at 10 Circular road residence of Rabri Devi to take part in the feast organised on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Host Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi served Dahi (curd) and Chura (beaten rice) to the chief minister and other visitors.
Prasad applied a 'teeka' of curd on the forehead of Nitish Kumar after which the two embraced each other to the delight of the shutterbugs.
Later Kumar told reporters "Laluji who is an elder brother applied teeka on my forehead as blessing".
Prasad told reporters that the 'teeka' was for smooth functioning of the secular government in the state.
Prasad's younger son and Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav sat next to Kumar and was seen taking selfie with the CM.
His brother and Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav was also seen according warm reception to the CM and other leaders of the coalition.
