“A minister giving such a comment is shocking. If you can’t be sympathetic then at least don’t insult,” he said. The RJD leader also asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to immediately sack Bhim Singh. “The Chief Minister must sack him,” he demanded.

Bhim Singh had on Thursday said: "Sena aur police me log marne hi jate hain (People join army and police for martyrdom)."

He, however, apologized for his insensitive remarks saying, “I apologize if my distorted comments have caused pain to people. Chief Minister called me up and he expressed his displeasure.”

Meanwhile, the principal Opposition BJP has also demanded Nitish Kumar to immediately sack Bhim Singh for his disgraceful and insensitive remarks. "This is simply obnoxious, shocking and shameless... any word is less to condemn the statement,” BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.

“Entire country is saluting sacrifice of the soldiers but some people are insulting it. This is unfortunate,” BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.
