Patna: With an aim to sensitize top officials of the state government towards the problems of people, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will watch a special screening of Bollywood movie ‘Well done Abba’ along with them. Directed by Shyam Benegal, the movie was released in March last year.

The much-acclaimed movie is centric to women and right to information. It throws light on situation a common man faces to avail benefits of the government-run schemes and how do bureaucrats turn lies into truth.

According to sources, the Chief Minister decided to hold the special screening to make senior officials aware of citizens’ rights and their strength.

The central leads are played by Bollywood stars Booman Irani, Minissha Lamba, Samir Dattani and Ila Arun. The movie focuses on how a well is constructed in a drought-hit village on papers and officials also issue a certificate that the water is sweet. The administration faces troubles when the villagers became adamant on lodging a report of theft .

After watching the movie, the Chief Minister will hold a discussion with them and have a dinner party.

The screening is also being associated with Nitish Kumar’s Sewa Yatra commencing from Betia on November 9. In the first phase of the Yatra, the CM will tour 10 districts and review the government schemes and create awareness among people about the right to public service.
