New Delhi: Gearing up for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections scheduled on April 15, Janata Dal leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and party president Sharad Yadav will campaign for their candidates.

The sources in the JD (U) informed that both the party leaders are likely to address rally at Govindpuri (ward 195) in favour of party candidate Chandra Prakash. It needs to be mentioned that Govindpuri ward is dominated by voters belonging to Bihar and Poorvanchal region. It is expected that party candidate may emerge victorious from Govindpuri.

Similarly, senior JD (U) leaders are likely to hold rallies in some other wards where the party candidates are in position to secure victory.

The state vice-president of the JD (U) Praveen said, “Poorvanchalis are decisive on so many seats.”

Sources say that JD (U) candidate from Govindpuri lobbied hard to get the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. Ironically, Chandra Prakash was denied ticket, following which the JD (U) lapped him up and fielded from Govindpuri.
