New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has threatened a march to Delhi if the demand of special status not met. The Chief Minister said that poverty and backwardness provide sufficient ground to recognize Bihar with special status.

“Special status is required to bring about industrial development in the state for generation of employment opportunities. It will bring investments and save money to make more resources available for the execution of new development schemes,” Kumar said.

Kumar further opined that the youths will not have to migrate to other states if there were employment opportunities available for them in their own state and it will be possible only if the Centre grants special status to Bihar to tap private investment for industrial development.

Bihar Chief Minister will begin the second phase of his Adhikar Yatra on Saturday. The yatra aims at mobilising support for a special category status for Bihar.
