Bhopal: The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government will have to face first no confidence motion of his tenure. After the motion being introduced by Opposition leader Ajay Singh in the state assembly on Monday, Speaker Iswardas Rohani scheduled the discussion on November 28 and 29.

After moving no confidence motion by Opposition leader Ajay Singh, Speaker Iswardas Rohani ensured whether the quorum is completed or not.

In his one line proposal, the Opposition leader said the House expresses its no confidence in the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led state Cabinet.

Notably, this is the 27th no confidence motion tabled in the MP Assembly, while the Chouhan is the 12th CM facing such motion.

61 Congress MLAs led by Singh submitted the proposal for no confidence against the Chouhan government to the Principal Secretary, MP Assembly, Rajkumar.

The Congress has 66 legislators in the House, out of which five were absent on Monday due to personal reasons.

Later speaking to reporters, the Speaker said the Congress has submitted the proposal which has been made available to the government.

The current winter session is the 11th session of the 13th Assembly in the state.
