Bhopal: The MP state Congress on Friday insisted it was wrong to say that some members of the party were in league with the ruling BJP.

"There was no truth in reports that some Congress members were hand in glove with the BJP," chairman of the State Congress Media committee, Manak Agarwal told reporters.

He said that Congress was determined to take to its logical end the investigations into the income-tax raids conducted at the premises of businessmen, Dilip Singh Suryavanshi and Sudhir Sharma who are allegedly linked with the ruling BJP in the state.

Agarwal said that the party has decided to give 33 per cent reservation to women and 20 per cent to SC, ST and backward candidates in district Congress units.

He said that a large conference on the lines of the famous 'Dabra sammelan' of the early nineties organised by the former Union Minister, late Madhavrao Scindia to forge unity among Congress leaders would be held soon to help inspire partymen in the State.
