Ghaziabad: There is good news for the cable operators in Ghaziabad as they would not have to conduct door-door-to survey and other related issues, once they deposit the one time Entertainment tax in this regard.

This one time scheme would be implemented if the cable operators deposits 30 percent more entertainment tax than that of previous year and 70 percent of them in the district would satisfy this condition.

According to AKS Rathore, the Deputy Commissioner of the Entertainment tax, there are 263 cable operators in the district. Last year, the government also introduced this one time scheme which had resulted in submitting a sum of Rs 4.56 crore. This also includes an interest fee deposit scheme.

The scheme also exempted 50 percent rate of interest on the primary money also. This time, the officials have introduced this scheme for the cable operators and 30 percent more Entertainment tax have to be paid by them.

He further said that such cable operators would be exempted from door-to-door survey and would not be asked to furnish information about how many subscribers they have, once they deposit the one time Entertainment tax.

Those who would not satisfy this one time scheme would be asked to furnish their detailed subscribers and will have to conduct the door-to-door survey.
