A Zimbabwean student, who was quarantined at a hospital in Sarawak, had tested negative for EVD, the ministry confirmed.

The minister also said the government had taken preventive measures particularly at entry points such as airports to monitor and examine visitors who had arrived from the affected countries.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Ebola has affected more than 5,500 people and has killed over 2,500 since its inception in West Africa.
