Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said that there would be no interference from the state government side in connection with investigation of cases by police.

"The state government will never interfere in the course of investigation of cases by police and the police should ensure honest and fair investigation so that people's confidence increase in police administration," Kumar said while inaugurating a new forensic science lab at ATS building here.

Without naming erstwhile RJD government, Kumar said, those days were over now when they used to dictate from Patna for addition or deletion of name in the FIRs.

He said to tightened noose around the criminals, the state government has separated investigation and law and order wing of the police.

We have equipped the forensic science lab here with all the latest facilities to ensure scientific investigation of cyber crime, Kumar said.
