Bhopal: In order to provide hassle free travel experience to passengers, the Madhya Pradesh government has made it mandatory for over 32-seater buses to have separate entry and exit gates. It will be effective from January1, 2012.

The MP government is all set to make an amendment to the Rule 164 of Madhya Pradesh Motor Vehicle Act, 1994. The following notification has been published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette on November 30, 2011.

As per the proposed Act, the bus operators have been directed to make arrangement of separate doors and emergency window in their vehicles, which has a capacity of over 32 seats.

It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had directed to install two doors in the bus after a massive accident took place at Sendhwa.
