Muzaffarnagar: The Bahujan Samjawadi Party (BSP) led by former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, on Thursday, ruled out pre-poll alliance with any party ahead of the general elections, which are scheduled to be held next year.
"BSP will contest general elections alone. We will not make pact with any political party," BSP leader Swami Prasad Maurya told reporters at Meenapur near Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday evening.
Maurya, who is also the Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, criticized the Akhilesh Yadav government, alleging ‘it has proved to be a failure on all fronts.’
