The division bench, headed by Chief Justice Vineet Saran, however, adjourned the writ appeal to be adjudicated again on March 21.

Challenging Puri-Konark Development Authority's (PKDA) order restraining them from going ahead with the work of their proposed Jagannath temple at Puri, Iskcon had approached the High Court to quash PKDA's order.

A single-judge bench of Justice Kumari Sanju Panda had on February 24 this year rejected the appeal of Iskcon and asked it to present its case before PKDA as per the latter's show-cause notice.

According to a report here, the Puri Collector, who had fixed the day to hear the case after issuing notices to PKDA and Iskcon, deferred the hearing when he was informed by Iskcon lawyer that their writ appeal has been listed for hearing by a division bench of the High Court.
