Moradabad: One can now see the consequences of the political ‘divorce’ between the Congress Party and Trinamool Congress. It has not been a week when the railway ministry was in retention of Trinamool Congress. And now when Mukul Roy has resigned as the railway minister, its consequences can be seen. The railway has not yet announced a single special train plying to Mamata Banerjee’s West Bengal during the Durga Puja festival. It is well known that Durga Puja is the most important festival for the people of West Bengal.

Just a week ago there was a special rapport between Railway Ministry and the Trinamool Congress. As the Railway Ministry was with Trinamool Congress, certainly West Bengal was given priority in every project of the Railways. Most of the projects which were introduced by the railway board were initiated from Kolkata. Last year the number of special trains plying to West Bengal during Durga Puja festival was quite sufficient. Six out of thirteen trains (plying through Moradabad Zone) was either extended to Howrah railway station or touched any district of West Bengal.

No special trains to Bengal for Durga Puja

The list of Puja special trains this year is quite surprising. Ten special trains are announced until now. None of these trains will go to West Bengal during Durga Puja. These trains will start plying to their destination from October 1. Most of these trains have their final destination in Eastern UP or in Bihar.
According to rituals, People from Bengal who live in any part of the country, do head to their home land on the occasion of Durga Puja.
