Gaya: Condemning the Naxal attack on a Congress leader in Chhattisgarh, former BJP ideologue KN Govindacharya on Wednesday cautioned the Centre against engaging the ultras in dialogue until they shun their violent ways.

"The Centre should not engage the Naxalites in any dialogue without securing commitment from them to shun their ideology of armed struggle," he said.

Govindacharya said that the security forces should carry out full throttle operation against the Naxalites without fear. "Why should there be adherence of human rights of the Naxalites when they don't care for the same rights of the ordinary people and public servants by killing them in ambush and related incidents?" he asked.

The former BJP ideologue also said that coercive action against Maoists could not be the sole means to remove the scourge and emphasized on socio-economic development of the Naxal-affected areas to wean away the local people from the trap of Naxal outfits.
