Noida: Following the steps of Greater Noida Development Authority (GNIDA), the Noida Development Authority has set up a camp to distribute additional compensation among the farmers.

In the first phase, the GNIDA has put up camps in eight villages and they will remain there till villagers receive their share of compensation. However, villagers will have to visit the Greater Noida Development Authority office to get 10 percent of developed land.

As per the High Court ruling on a petition filed by the farmers, the development authority has to give 64 percent extra compensation amount to the farmers along with the ten percent of the developed land area to the farmers whose land have been acquired.

Acting on the directives issued by the High Court, CEO Rama Raman has asked the officials to increase the pace of disbursal of compensation. “The main purpose of the camp is to prevent farmers from running pillar to post for their payment. Even the development authority will consume less time to complete the paper work,” said Raman.
