Noida: With an aim of blurring the distances between Delhi and NCR, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the third phase of DMRC which started four years back has now taken a final shape.

The DPR has been prepared and the construction work on the third phase of the Delhi Metro connecting Noida’s Botanical garden to Kalindi Kunj will start from April 2012. This route will facilitate commuters by providing a direct connectivity to the Delhi airport.

With two stations in Noida, the track will be elevated in the entire Noida area. The six coach train starting from Botanical garden will go up till Janakpuri west.

According to the DPR, this project would involve an investment of Rs 874 crores and will be operative by March 2016. The train on this route would run on a maximum speed of 85 km/hr however the average speed would be 32km/hr. Stretching over 33.494 kilometers the train would enter Delhi through Kalindi Kunj and stop at 5 other stations Kalka Ji, Hauz Khas, Vasant Vihar , Palam Airport and Janakpuri West.
