Three new Asha models were unveiled at the annual Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi, where the company is expected to launch new large-screen devices to compete with Apple and Samsung.

After the Microsoft deal, which is due to seal in the first quarter of next year, the new products will still carry the Nokia brand but become part of Microsoft's drive to be a major player in global consumer devices.

Nokia India on the other hand on Tuesday announced free insurance offer with Nokia Asha 501, valid till November 15, 2013. The offer provides customers with an insurance plan to safeguard them against risks of mobile handset loss and damage. Nokia has made the offer in partnership with New India Assurance Company.
