New Delhi: The senior officials of Commercial Department of Northern Railways on Wednesday said that the railways are contemplating to open reservation counters in New Rohtak road and Greater Noida to provide respite to people seeking a train reservation.

Both the reservation counters will be regulated by the respective district administrations.

“Meanwhile, we are searching for the required location for setting up the reservation centres,” said a senior official of NorthernRailways and added, “Once the locations are confirmed it will not take us long to start with the process.”

Special trains for Hazrat Nizamuddin - Beas and Saharanpur- Amritsar route

Witnessing the huge crowd of passengers in the festive season, the Railways have decided to run special trains for Hazrat Nizamuddin - Beas and Saharanpur- Amritsar.

The special trains are scheduled to operate once in a day. According the railway officials, the special train running between Hazrat Nizamuddin - Saharanpur –Beas is scheduled to start from September 22 at 7: 20 pm, which will reach Beas next morning at 4: 30 am.

Moreover, the same train will leave for Hazrat Nizamuddin at 7: 50 pm and reach next morning at 4: 30 am.

The trains will have only two stoppages at New Delhi and Subzi Mandi. Similarly, the special trains for Saharanpur- Amritsar will start running from September 23 at 8: 50 pm and reach Amritsar at 2: 10 am.

The train will return from Amritsar on September 25 at 11: 40 pm and reach Saharanpur at 5:40 am. The train will take a halt at Jagadhari station.
