London: The United Kingdom has introduced super-priority visa for Indians. The applicants are required to pay an additional fee of Rs 50,000 to get the visa within a day. This visa facility launched by the UK government is the first of its kind for the citizens of any country.

British Prime Minister David Cameron had made and announcement in this regard during his recent visit to India in February. Interestingly, bookings to seek special visa have already begun from Tuesday.

British Ambassador to India Sir James Bevan said that he was very happy that super-priority visa facility has been started for the first time for the citizens of India. The move is a clear indication that UK is committed towards improving visa facilities for Indians.

“We are also quite assured that the new facility is going to help businessmen greatly. It will be quite beneficial for the people who seek to visit UK in the time of exigency,” said James Bevan. He also added that UK intends to double the bilateral trade by 2015 in which super-priority visa will play a key role.

Super-priority visa is an alternative arrangement. With additional payment of Rs 50,000 with visa application, one can get super-priority visa. The super-priority visa would be availed by the evening of the day of online application.
