Lucknow: The CBI in connection with the NRHM scam has summoned more than a dozen accused to Delhi. The houses of the officials involved in the scam were also raided on Thursday.

It is believed that after interrogation, the probe agency may issue arrest warrants against some of them. Sources said, under tight scrutiny of the CBI, the officials left for Delhi on Saturday.

CBI has issued notices to 18 officials including IAS officer Pradeep Shukla, PACFED MD VK Chaudhary, former CMD of UPPCL Devendra Mohan, Varanasi based businessmen Manvendra Chadda, Ashok Bajpai, Rakesh Tandon of Anod Pharmaceutical Kanpur, Lucknow-based businessman Raju Punjabi, Nehru Yuva Kendra in-charge DK Singh, Uttar Pradesh projects Corporation's General Manager Ravinder Rai, UP PCL GM, SD Pandey.

According to sources, serious charges have been leveled against some of the accused but due to lack of evidences against them the CBI may let them off. The agency on Thursday had carried out searches at 40 locations in UP in connection with the NRHM scam.
