New Delhi: Intensifying its probe into the multi-crore National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam in Uttar Pradesh, the CBI on Saturday arrested former Health Minister of Uttar Pradesh Anant Kumar Sharma in connection with murders of two CMOs in Lucknow.

As per the sources, the probing agency has taken the IAS officer to an undisclosed location for questioning about the two murders that are directly linked to the Rs 5,700 crore NRHM scam.

It is believed that former Principal Health Secretary Pradeep Shukla who was earlier arrested on Thursday, has hinted Sharma’s name into the high level scam,

Shukla was arrested on Thursday following the allegation by former family welfare minister Babu Singh Kushwaha, who is already in jail in connection with the scam.
