New Delhi: With each passing day, a new layer of Nation Rural Health Mission (NHRM) scam comes out. Huge irregularities have been reported during the construction of a health centre at Khurtia, Jyotiba Phule Nagar district.

According to sources, during the construction of the health care building for every one bag of cement 42 sacks of sand were used.

The Uttar Pradesh government could not curb the malpractice despite a written report of a government engineer regarding the ratio of cement and sand being used during the construction of the health centre.

As many as 13 complaints were registered in this connection, nonetheless the state government could not awake from its deep slumber.

Most of the complaints lodged were about cheap standard of material used in the construction of health centres in various parts of the state under NRHM. In three specific cases, the whole construction work was completed without any lay-out that led early collapse of buildings.

According to some documents of NRHM, not a single monitoring cell was set up to evaluate the quality of the construction work in the state.
