Lucknow: Moving ahead with the investigation process into the NRHM scam, the CBI has now decided to take help of the contractors who are alleged of flouting the rules to get the work done with the help of Former Cabinet Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha and Principal Secretary Family Welfare of Uttar Pradesh Pradeep Shukla.

According to the CBI sources, both the contractors who have been made government witnesses are willing to explain the alleged role of Khushwaha and Shukla in the NRHM scam. And on the basis of the information provided by the contractors, the CBI would lodge another six FIRs in this case. As per the reports in FIR, the CBI will begin its interrogation against the accused in the next two days.

The FIRs which are to be lodged in the case relate to the alleged irregularities in the purchase of  medicines and medical equipments worth Rs 10 crore. The contractors revealed that they had received favour on a dozen of similar work with the help of Kushwaha and Shukla.

Some very important documents pertaining to Kushwaha and Shukla have been handed over by the contractors to the CBI. Another accused GK Batra, MD of the state gsovernment-owned public sector unit, Shreeton India Ltd, has already given some clues to the CBI in this regard.

Meanwhile, the CBI is not willing to reveal the names of the contractors who have become witnesses in this case.
