"Every 26th January is a security challenge. Obama's visit is a security challenge but not the greatest security challenge," a top intelligence officer said.
Obama will be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade here on January 26.
The officer said preparation for security of the Republic Day parade started early this month and all arrangements will be made to ensure foolproof security to the dignitaries and other guests.

Obama accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's invite to be chief guest for the 2015 Republic Day, and will be the first US President to grace the occasion as chief guest.

This will be Obama's second visit to India. He had visited India in 2010 at the invitation of then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and addressed a Joint Session of the Parliament.
