“We just met the PM, brought out a number of demands for Odisha, especially special status and mineral royalty. The PM was quite positive to our demands. We didn’t discuss joining NDA,” he said.

The Biju Janata Dal chief was accompanied by all 24 MPs belonging to his party.
This is Patnaik's first trip to New Delhi after taking charge as Chief Minister of Odisha for the fourth consecutive term.

According to reports, the Odisha Chief Minister will also meet other Cabinet Ministers during his stay in the national capital.

Patnaik, who has been the Chief Minister since 2000, after winning the 2014 assembly elections thanked the newly elected members for choosing him as their leader.

"We will all work together with renewed effort for the development of Odisha and its people," he had said.
