The project ‘Zenith's Labyrinth’ is a space colony which was developed by eighth grade students for the contest. The futuristic project captured the attention of renowned scientists who evaluated it along with 400 others from different parts of the world.

According to sources, the six students - Aman Patnaik, Abhishek Mahapatra, Sai Krishanth, Nitish Mohanty, Satwik Gadnayak and Saurik Mishra – worked relentlessly on the model for weeks.

NASA Ames Research Center sponsors this global annual space settlement design contest for Class 6-12 students in conjunction with the National Space Society. Engineers and scientists of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) select the winners.

According to sources, the students will now be heading to Los Angeles, USA as delegates to the International Space Development Conference in May, this year.
