London: The Olympic flame has had a ride on the London Eye.
Seventeen-year-old Amelia Hempleman-Adams took the torch on a trip on the giant observation wheel on the south side of the River Thames on Sunday, riding atop one of the Eye's viewing capsules as it slowing rotated.
The teenager was the youngest person to ski to the South Pole last year. The Olympic flame is continuing its journey around London, after spending more than 60 days traveling around

Organizers want the flame and the spirit of the games to reach as many neighborhoods as possible in the 12,875 kilometers torch relay. The relay will end on Friday, when the flame is taken to the Olympic Stadium for the opening ceremony.
