Jammu: Protesting against Afzal Guru clemency resolution that would be tabled in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will stage demonstration both inside the state Assembly and at district headquarters on September 28.

Accusing Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of resorting to divisive policy in the state, the BJP warned Omar that Afzal Guru death penalty might deteriorate situation in Kashmir, but if he is not hanged to death, it will affect the entire nation.

State unit president, Shemsher Singh Manhaas said that the situation has started to become worse in the state after Omar denied granting land for Amarnath pilgrimage and by giving weightage to Afzal's death penalty.

Manhaas informed the party will discuss a spate of issues like Kashmir oriented policies of Omar Abdullah, clemency resolution of Afzal Guru and the project report prepared by the Centre-appointed interlocutors in the meeting of national working committee in New Delhi from September 30.
