Out of these, 252 complaints have been disposed of while 285 complaints have been transferred to investigating agencies in the state, he said.
The SVC deals with the complaints for the conduct of inquiry only. During inquiry, if it is found that a case is made out, it is sent for the investigation to the Vigilance Organisation, he said.
The Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Commission Act 2011 was enacted to provide for the constitution of the SVC to inquire or cause inquiries to be conducted into offences alleged to have been committed under the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act by public servants, corporations established in the state, he added.
