Chandigarh: Backing former President APJ Abdul Kalam for the 2012 Presidential polls, Indian National Lok Dal suprmo and former Haryana Chief Minister Omprakash Chautala said that those who can propel the country in prosperity should be made as the President of the country.

Talking to reporters Chautala said that Kalam is the best candidate for the post of President of India.

Lashing out at Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the INLD supremo said, “State government has no funds to give pensions and salaries to the employees, while he along with over dozen people is going to visit Israel.”

“The CM entourage comprises mostly people having non-farmers background. Earlier too, such worthless visits have been made,” added the former CM.

The roads are in bad condition and names of people under economically weaker section are being struck from the BPL lists opined Chautala.

The INLD supremo demanded for judicial probe into the matter of Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ram Kishan Fauji battling for life at PGI Chandigarh. Fauji had allegedly consumed poison.
