This test will be called NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test).

Students preparing for All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Entrance Test, scheduled for May 1st, Maharashtra CET on May 5th, and entrance tests in Karnataka on May 8th will be the first ones to undergo NEET.

NEET had been proposed in 201 but was quashed. Later, a petition was filed regarding the same and the Supreme Court asked for reconsideration into the judgment which declared NEET as illegal.
