Faridkot (Punjab): A Special team of Punjab Police on Thursday arrested one more accused Rajnikant, son of Jawahar Prasad, for his alleged role in forgery case related to Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) of Baba Farid University of Health and Sciences here.

The accused is a resident of Nalanda.

According to reports, the accused is a final year student of MBBS at Mahavir Vardhman Medical College Safdarjang and Hospital in New Delhi.

Gurjeet Singh Romana, in-charge of the special police team said, “In 2008 PMET, Rajnikant took a huge amount from Manoj Kumar, son of Narendra Kumar to appear in his place.”

Police have already arrested Manoj Kumar and his aide Sanjeev Kumar. It may be noted 60 more people have been made named accused in this case.

Meanwhile, the CJM court on Thursday sent the accused for two days police remand.
