New Delhi: Delhi which is on the lines of becoming a world class city will soon see the formation of another SEZ (special economic zone). The proposed SEZ will be developed in an area of 920 acre at Kanjhawala area of Delhi.

According to DSIIDC (Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development ), Rs 500 crore is estimated to be spent on the entire project.

DSIDC is even studying options as to what kind of industrial units to be set up in the area and has even started looking for consultants.

The upcoming project will be set up at Delhi-Rohtak Road situated only 10 kilometers from the NH 10.

As per Delhi Master Plan 2021 , the proposed area of SEZ comes under the New Extension Zone of the urban area of the city. There is a good prospect about the development of the area since it will come up in the vicinity of Urban Extension Road one, Rohtak Road No 2 and Kundli –Manesar Road.

There is a possibility of the area to be linked to Metro or Monorail route. Apart from this, developing a green area is also proposed here.
