This version will also allow users to download videos from social media and other video platforms which can be watched when the user is offline.

Opera Mini 18 for Android will show entertainment and sports feed on its home page. It has partnered with Bollywood Hungama and Sportskeeda for content and live cricket updates.

Along with this, Opera Mini users will get a new video download feature in Opera Mini 18 for Android, which will essentially allow users to download videos from social networking and other sites onto their devices directly from the browser.

When you click on browsed video, a pop-up dialog box with the option to save the video appears. Users can then choose save video option to start downloading the video, or press cancel to just stream it online.

Opera notes that the feature only works on video websites without their own integrated media player. Video downloading is essentially useful for users who look to loop videos for whatever reasons, without wasting data. The downloaded videos can be saved onto inbuilt storage or on a microSD card installed in the user's device.

Opera Mini recently also introduced a new feature called 'Video Boost' for its Android users. As the name suggests, the feature would help Opera Mini users "see less of the video-buffering wheel."

In addition to content from the new partners, Opera Mini already has a News feature that displays articles across categories such as News, Business, Technology, Travel, Lifestyle, and so on. Users can customise this News feed by choosing their preferred categories and display language.

Opera Mini is the fastest browser as speed tests show that it can open web pages 72% faster than Google Chrome and 64% faster than UC browser.
