Bhopal: The leader of opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Ajay Singh, on Sunday asked the state government to clear its stand on the illegal mining.
"I am asking this, as the state government appears not to be doing anything to control the illegal mining," he said.

Some time ago, state BJP chief Prabhat Jha had said there was no illegal mining in Madhya Pradesh, while soon thereafter Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that strict action was being taken against illegal mining.
The two statements had created confusion, the Congress leader said, adding that newspapers were full of reports on illegal mining.
Ajay also said that illegal mining was seen even in the Chief Minister's home district.
