The solution titled 'Orion LICR' involves a re-purposed digital pen and a tablet device that can be used in any scenario where handwritten data has to be digitised, a company release said.
The digital pen captures handwritten data and transfers it wirelessly to the accompanying tablet, from which it can be instantly transferred to an organisation's centralized server, it said.
By eliminating manual data entry, the solution promises to expedite the digitisation process, while minimising the possibility for human error, it said.
The company claimed that the device set would be of immense use to universities and school boards that now manually feed marks into computers or scan hundreds of thousands of answer sheets.

The patent pending product won the National Award for Innovation in the Testing and Assessment Tools category for the year 2014 at the prestigious e-India Innovation Awards function held recently at Kovalam here, the release added.
