The space thriller "Gravity" from the Mexican filmmaker won seven Oscars out of ten in which it was nominated with Alfonso Cuarón clinching the best director honour.

Honouring the award winning film, US space agency shared the real photos of space, most of them depicting the scenes of the movie, on the Twitter.

NASA posted the pictures under the hashtag #RealGravity.

"Gravity," starred Sandra Bullock as a stranded astronaut. The space thriller swept the technical awards like visual effects and cinematography.
