Los Angeles: Oscar winning actress Goldie Hawn is set to star in HBO's 'The Viagra Diaries', which will mark her first acting role since 2002's 'The Banger Sisters' with Susan Sarandon.

Hawn, 65, who was away from the spotlight for nearly a decade, will star in the comedy project which depicts a woman re-entering the world of dating after separating from her husband, quoted the reporter.

The 'Sex and the City' creator/executive Darren Star is writing the pilot script which is based on the book by Barbara Rose Brooker.

The upcoming project will see Hawn as an older woman, who struggles with being single for the first time in 35 years after her husband abandons her due to his midlife crisis at 65.

The project, if made into series, will mark Hawn's first regular TV series gig since 1970.
