Chandigarh: Over 1,500 scientists across the globe participated in the 52nd Annual Conference of Association of Microbiologist of India (AMI) organized by the Punjab University between November 3 and 6.

During the conference, renowned scientists across the world highlighted the extensive benefits and long term developments of Microbial technology.
Professor R C Sobti, former Vice Chancellor of the university said, “Discussing microbiology at such an international forum will contribute in developing the sector and extracting more benefits from the branch of science.”

Sobti applauded the international delegates including Dr. R C Kuhad, Dr. Virdi, Dr. Ashish Dutta and Dr. H Panda for sharing their experiences and views on the vital branch of science.

Dr. R C Kuhad, Chairman, AMI expressed his gratitude to the Punjab University for ensuring success of the international meet.

In the closing ceremony on Sunday, the international delegates and students were awarded for contributing to the event by emphasizing various aspects of microbiology through posters.
