Srinagar:  Huge numbers of Shiva devotees are making a beeline to get registered for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.  According to R K Goyal, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), around 2 lakhs devotees have registered their names for the religious journey set to start from June 29.

In total 104501 devotees of Lord Shiva have preferred to trek to the holy cave via the traditional route of Pahalgam, he informed.
Goyal warned that no unregistered pilgrim would be allowed to carry forward his journey.

To assess the safety and preparations of the journey, Goyal inspected the Nunvan base camp. He instructed the officials to arrange all the facilities for the pligrims.

He also informed that the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, N N Vohra would be on an Aerial survey of Pahalgam and Baltal on June 13.
