Chandigarh: A total of 25.20 lakh children below five years were administered polio drops in Haryana on Sunday as the first round of the National Pulse Polio programme this year began in the state.
The polio drops were administered to the children at specially set up booths. "As many as 63 percent of the targeted children have been covered on the first day of the three-day campaign," a spokesman of Haryana Health Department said.
He said nearly 40 lakh children would be covered during the campaign in the state.
