Harda: The seriousness of UPA Government for its ambitious Direct Cash Transfer scheme was exposed on Monday when hundreds of AADHAAR cards were found lying in open drain near a police station in Harda district. The district administration has launched an inquiry into the shocking incident.

“We have ordered inquiry into the matter by senior officials of department of posts. The matter is very serious and stringent action will be taken against the guilty,” Harda Collector Sudam Khode said.

He further added, "Basically, the department of posts is responsible for distribution of these cards."
As per the sources, a bundle consisting over 500 AADHAAR cards was found lying near open sewage near a police station.

Rajesh Kabra, a resident of Subhash ward, said, “I also recovered my AADHAAR card from the bundle. I had been running from pillar to post to get it.”
